This is our very first set featuring a well known nude model Dominika C. We didn’t want to make Dominika look like a plastic doll with all the skin texture gone in Photoshop. Instead, we want you to see the real Dominika. Yes, you can see some imperfections in her skin, and her face doesn’t look as smooth as if she was 18. After all, she is only human, and she is not 18 anymore.
We didn’t want you to be fueled by another Photoshop made-up “reality”. There are enough Instagrams and Met-Arts for that matter. We rather want you to be inspired by a real woman who does her best to stay fit, sexy, and elegant, despite her age. She effortlessly combines her femininity with extreme confidence and pride of her feminine body. She is also one of the most joyful persons I’ve ever met.
Michael, the photographer, did a fantastic job making Dominika appear natural yet classy and stylish. We hope that when you look a the pictures, you’ll have an urge to touch and stroke Dominika’s skin, as if you were in the room yourself, one arm-length away from her. We hope you see Dominika in a new perspective compared to traditional nude pictures. We hope you see her as a complex and fascinating woman. a woman with unique desires and a life story. The quote on the other side of this page is chosen from a little great book “We should all be feminists”, by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and I’ll end with another quote form her book: “We teach girls shame. Close your legs. Cover yourself. We make them feel as though by being born female, they are already guilty of something. And so girls grow up to be women who cannot say they have desire. Who silence themselves. Who cannot say what they truly think. Who have turned pretense into an art form.” I wish I could say this this quote is a great exaggeration. I want to. But I can’t. Not yet. I feel men have a long way to go to make women feel independent, confident, and free of shame for their sexuality.
